Personal information we collect and how we use it

While you visit Folky, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of basket contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

We use Mollie to help us process the payments and here is their Privacy Policy. We accept payments through: Belfius Direct Net, EPS, Giropay, iDeal, ING Home’Pay, KBC/CBC Payment Button, Bancontact, PayPal.
When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to any chosen payment system from those stated above, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Finally, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your rights

You have the right to view, correct, object, limit, transfer or delete the personal data that Folky processes, unless Folky cannot grant these rights based on a legal obligation. For example, Folky is required to save processed personal and payment data based on legal obligations.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data retention

We will maintain your personal information for our records up to a year or unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
